Willow Headache Tea

$20.00Price
Quantity

A mix of dehydrated Willow (Salicin), Lemonbalm and Mint makes a pleasant tasting tea to ease your headache or other pain. Proportions are 1/3 Willow and 2/3 mint & lemonbalm. Simmer this on low heat for 30 minutes. The inner stem of the Willow is used. Once called the 'original aspirin' it is labour intensive. Processing requires peeling off the bark to expose the inner stem of the branch, which is chopped up and dehydrated, then ground for tea. If you are using Aspirin or a blood thinner, check with your doctor before using Willow (Salicin).

Available in 50g $20, and 100g $30

Wild plants have been used for thousands of years, and information about them has been shared by generations of herbalists and healers in both verbal and written form. At Footloose we make learning an ongoing process and very much look forward to hearing from you. We feel that everyday in the forest is magical with the fresh oxygenated air, the lovely smell of trees, the sound of running fresh water and birds singing, wildlife going about it's business of living, and a rich tapestry of food and medicine everywhere! We are fortunate in Canada to have so much of this.
